Little Pumpkin Shower

In early November, my friend Candice and I threw a baby shower for our good friend, Dzana. She and her husband tried for years to have a baby, so this little guy is truly a miracle.

Since it is Fall, we settled on an autumn theme. I kept the decorations simple with pumpkins and candles.

The food was not as simple. I just can't help myself! We dined on...

Apple juice (ok, that's simple)...

Pumpkin dip...

Pumpkin seeds, pumpkin candies, and mini "acorns"...

My friend Traci brought the most amazing caramel toffee dip which is fabulous with apples...

A veggie tray to ease the guilt...

Artichoke dip...

And the masterpiece was my chocolate dipped cake balls. I had to take three photos of them...

I had cute little pumpkin-themed thank you notes for Dzana to bring home...

I also found the cutest little pumpkin suckers that made nice party favors...

To go with the pumpkin theme, we had pumpkin scented candles for the prizes. I especially love how the suckers looked in the vase...

We played two games ( a nursery rhyme quiz and a game where you put baby items in lunch sacks and the guest have to feel the sacks and guess what is inside)...

Mostly I think people just enjoyed visiting...

Of course, there were presents...

Rick came down after a while and couldn't help mingling and snacking on the good food...

We had a great time- I hope Dzana did too!

I'm glad I'm not the only one that takes so many pictures at a fun event. Looks like a fabulous time!

Look at you go! Love the pumpkin theme and all the food, but those chocolate dipped cake balls!! YUM, they looked delicious. If you have time, you'll have to post the recipe.
