Shake Your Money Maker

I'm very aware that I'm really lucky to have a hard-working husband who brings home the money so that my days can be spent finger-painting, reading stories, and getting oodles of hugs and kisses from my girls. (Or are they spent cleaning up messes, listening to crying, and applying lanolin to my sore you-know-whats? Rick says that I can't put the real word on my blog, but why should I be ashamed by breastfeeding?) Anyway, my point is that I'm blessed.

One thing that I've always loved about Rick is that he never settles for average. (That's why he married me, right?) He is always pushing himself to be a better dad, a better husband, and a better employee. In my opinion, perfection can't be improved upon, but he still keeps trying.

My heart always swells with pride for him when he comes home from work and tells me about some type of award or recognition he's received. I especially love it when it comes with a gift card which he inevitably always hands over to me.

Recently, Rick was nominated as a "diversity champion", which means he is awesome at embracing diversity or something like that. I mean, just his look alone screams diversity: Caucasian, male, in his 30's, etc...

Anyway, as the Diversity Champion, he was featured in a magazine called Wells Fargo Connections that goes out to everybody in the entire company. What an honor! After reading his quotes, it's obvious why he was nominated. His thoughts on diversity are really groundbreaking. If Michael Jackson were still around, surely he would want to incorporate Rick's ideas into his lyrics...

If that wasn't enough, Rick was again featured on the COVER of another Wells Fargo publication that goes out to all the employees in Washington. Not only that, but inside there was an article written by him about recruiting strategies. I would share this article as well, but I don't want any competition from other banks stealing Rick's recruiting ideas. Because I just know there are several Bank of America and Chase recruiters out there that are die-hard fans of my blog. Really, can I even call these other banks "competition" anyway?

Well, at least I can show you the cover...

All kidding aside...my husband rocks and I totally love him.

Rick you're the friggin' poop! I'll be checking the newsstand for some more cover appearances.

You make me laugh. All kidding aside, that's great that Rick is good at his job and your family reaps/spends the benefits.

Also loved the latest reindeer/santa posts. I really wanted to take my girls to Swanson's and then never got around to it. There's always next year.

Carol cut out Rick's Picture and posted it in her cubicle... we are all Rick fans on the 47th floor! If he keeps up the good work, one day he might finally use Patrick's executive bathroom.
