Jakin Invasion: Future of Flight

Our 2nd day with the Jakin's began at Boeing's Future of Flight Museum. Dale is a bit of an aviation buff, so we thought they might enjoy it.

It was fun, but I'm not quite sure if it was worth the $10 each. Many of the exhibits were broken, including the flight simulator, which probably would have been the coolest thing there.

Fortunately for us, the Jakins have a way of turning something seemingly lame into something completely delightful. The Jakins could make math fun. The Jakins could make doing my taxes fun.

The only other cool thing there was the real cockpit. We were cautioned not to let small children sit in the seats because it was "unsafe".

Call us rebels, but we were willing to take our chances.

Janae and I never did take our turns as pilots. We were just as happy pushing buttons and flipping switches.

I was drawn to the "Power Failure" button. I couldn't help but wonder what would happen if someone accidentally bumped it while in flight. Would everything shut off at once as the plane immediately dropped from the sky? Maybe this button should have a cover or something.
I'm kidding...in case you didn't know that.

Rick liked the "Dump Valves" for obvious reasons.

I have no idea what they are standing in front of in this picture.

Before we left, we went out to the roof to watch the planes come in. It was an awesome view!

Gwen only wants to be in photos when we don't want her in the photo
