Fiona at Two Months

(I'm SO behind on blogging but I'm determined to catch up! Although Fiona is 4 months old now, here is a post I started when she was two months!)

I can't believe how fast time has gone and that Fiona is already two months old! She has gained 4 pounds since birth and was plumping up quite nicely- especially on her face! Here are her stats:

Height: 21.5 inches- 20%
Weight: 9 lbs, 15.5 oz- 30%
Head: 37 cm 10%

When Gwen was two months, she was 50th percentile across the board. It's hard to believe that she was bigger than Fiona at this point because she seemed so tiny to me back then- and Fiona seems so chubby to me now. I guess it's because she carries it all in her face.

Fiona is continuing to become a better eater and will now nurse while mommy is laying down- yahoo! But, she is still picky about nursing and is still a little put out when she doesn't get to lounge on the nursing pillow while eating. She doesn’t love the carseat or stroller, although she will sometimes fall asleep in the car. The vacuum and swaddling work great to get her to sleep- like magic, really. The acid reflux still seems to be an issue and she spits up all the time. She loves her swing and will sleep in it for hours. She still wakes up 2-3 times a night to eat- especially if she is sleeping in the bed with mommy and can sense her closeness. Other than in bed next to mommy or the swing, she doesn’t sleep anywhere else.

The most significant issue discussed at her doctor's appointment was the redness around her eyes and her rash/acne. I thought her bumpy skin was from acne, but her doctor thinks it could possibly be from a rash instead. She has also had quite a bit of mucus in her stools. The doctor suggested we modify my diet to see if something is being passed into my breastmilk that she's allergic to. So, for the time being, I'm going to go off of all dairy products, eggs, and nuts. I didn't have any dairy when Gwen was an infant, so I know I have the willpower to do it again. Hopefully this does the trick!

Here are some photos of our cute girl...
