For decorations, I lit a ton of candles and had these cute little primroses all over the house. The primroses were also a party favor for guests to take home.
For the food, I did an Italian theme. We feasted on homemade Caesar salad (I even made the dressing and croutons from scratch), and pasta salad. I didn't eat the Caesar salad. Once you actually see the anchovies go into it, it kinda loses it's appeal. We also had caprese salad with baguettes as well as some creamy spreads to go on baguettes.
My friend Traci brought tons of fruit with two different kinds of dip. The toffee dip was SO amazing. I seriously wanted to take a bath in it.
Rick and I worked hard to make this chocolate raspberry cheesecake. It didn't taste near as good as it looked.

I later realized that I took way more photos of the food than the actual party guests. I guess that shows where my mind is.

We also played fun games. We did "Name that Tune" using only songs with the word "baby" in the title. Emily was proud to get "Baby Got Back" right away. I was amazed when Kedra got "Hey Baby" by No Doubt on the first note. No joke.
We also played "The Price is Right" using baby items. The last game we played involved a baby doll, telephone, oven mitt, and dice. But, I won't bore you with the rules.
I didn't get any photos during the present opening because I was busy trying to slice my nasty cheesecake. For the record, I made a cheesecake a few weeks later and it was awesome. I'm getting better.
Congrats to Emily on her baby boy!
