Grandpa is almost 80, but he still goes to work everyday and comes home for a big lunch and a nap. Although she doesn’t feel well, Grandma doesn’t hesitate to have a huge lunch ready for Grandpa when he comes home. Lunch is really dinner for them, and at night they have something light.
Anyway, in true Grandpa style, when Harry came in the door and saw me, he said, “What the hell are you doing here?” Then he gave me a huge bear hug. I was glad that nothing had changed with Grandpa- he still smelled like B.O. and motor oil and still loves to curse.
Gwen also took to Grandma and Grandpa Lundin right away. It was so great to see them. They are really the cutest things ever.
Gwen wore Grandma's apron and served us cookies!

Later that afternoon, we took the kids to this awesome park by Tom & Laura's house. It has tons of really nice playground equipment, a huge lawn, tennis courts, and basketball courts. It also had a really cute water feature that squirted water up from the ground below and from a spout in the air. Although it got up to 70 on a couple days, we never got to see this in action. The ground around the play equipment was also really squishy, which is great to make falls a little less painful. We probably went to this park 3-4 times!
After we got worn out at the park, Laura made yummy homemade pizza for dinner, and then we gave the kiddos a bath a put them to bed. Later, Bob and Cathy showed up with Andy, Jessica, and Kirk, who had just arrived in town. We spent the rest of the night playing games and just catching up with each other.
What a great day!
