Oh, and I laugh all the way to hell

Modest Mouse said it best in "Missed the Boat" when they sang, "Oh, and I laugh all the way to hell. Saying yes, this is a fine promotion." (If you're volume is up this song should be playing now- love it!)

Every now and then I let my sense of humor overrule my judgement and I don't always make the best decisions. It's hard to resit the temptation to do some things in order to amuse myself. This past week, we have had a lot of fun (a little bit too much) and I wondering if I'm laughing myself straight to Hell.

So I was asked this past Saturday (Feb 9th) to help serve dinner after a church meeting that would be attended by some prominent church memebrs, including a mission president, the temple president, and even Bishop Burton. (The Presiding Bishop) My two cute (and hilarious) cousins, Cheryl and Denise, were asked to help along with me. They are both so fun , that I would pretty much do any task if they were going to be there. Anyway, the dinner went great, nothing really out of the ordinary went on.

After dinner, Bishop Burton came in and thanked the kitchen staff for our hard work and took a moment to talk to us and shake hands. (I got a hug!) After the dinner guests left, we started clearing the table. Cheryl, Densie and I got to where Bishop Burton was sitting, and we all kind of got an idea at the same time. Before you knew it, we were all sipping out of the glass that Bishop Burton drank from. Maybe we thought that some of his goodness would rub off on us. We thought that we were completely hilarious, but now looking back, I'm not sure if it was a good idea. Rick thinks it was funny, but disrepectful, and now I think I might have some repenting to do.
