Polka Dot Day

I'm always trying to think of ways to be fun and creative at home. Most days my efforts are mediocre at best. Once in a while though, I hit the jackpot.

Gwen's preschool often has theme days. On polka dot day, I decided to step it up a little bit and make sure Gwen had an extra special day.

First, we made sure her outfit was just right...

I love how intense Gwen is in these photos. Often, having fun is serious business for her.

The best part of polka dot day was the polka dot snack I packed: orange slices and finger jello (both cut in circles), round ritz bit crackers, and a gold coin for dessert. I even cut her napkin into a circle (which she didn't even notice.) If I could have figured out a way to make her juice box a circle, I certainly would have done it.
And, a bunny with polka dot ears, feet, and a ribbon for show and share...

Now I need to figure out what to do for backwards day. Any suggestions?

Perhaps you could make her a t-shirt where you iron on photos. Maybe have a pic of her family with all the names backwards. Or, just do NEWG with her pic.

As for the polka dot day... you have such great ideas. Very cute and I love her show and share bunny.
