We've actually had a fun night so far. We went to Macaroni Grill and then to a movie- which I was really enjoying until all the good guys died at the end. I walked out of the theater with red, puffy eyes. How embarrassing.
We are home now and Rick suggested we come up with something fun to do to lift our spirits again after such a sad movie. I came upstairs to quickly check email, and my mom sent me two photos of Gwen that she took tonight. This sweet little face can always make me smile. My spirits are officially lifted....although I still miss her.

Funny, I posted the first pic and then quickly took it down after I saw you had it on your blog. What I had to say was funny enough.

I can't believe that I am going to admit that I agree with you about being away from the kids! Aren't we supposed to LOVE time off?? :) I love date nights, but I don't like being away for longer then an evening. BTW - I had a good laugh while reading Gwen's little comments and the one you posted about her drawing at church. VERY funny!!
How adorable! She is such a sweetheart, and I know what you mean about missing them, even though they drive you crazy at times. Just going to lunch in Seattle on Saturday, I kept thinking that I wish Ryan was with us...of course I remember the video that was playing on their big screen, and I'm glad that we didn't bring kids!
