Sneaky Snack

Gwen and I were playing downstairs. I got distracted by something (maybe a phone call?) and suddenly I couldn't find her. I started looking around, and I heard a rustling noise coming from the pantry. I opened the door to the pantry (which was completely closed) and found her sitting on the ground, in the pitch dark, eating frosted Circus Animal Cookies.

I asked her why she was sitting in the dark, eating cookies. Her answer: "I was hungry". Logical. I told her that she isn't supposed to eat cookies (or anything for that matter) without asking, and then I completely contracted myself by taking a picture of her. I could tell she was rather proud of her sneakiness, and I tried not to laugh too much. She's never been especially sneaky, so this little episode took me by surprise. Frosted Circus Animal Cookies are quite delicious, so I can't way a blame her. What a cutie!

Ha! What a cutie. Once when Nathaniel was little he came up to me and said, "Don't come into my room for 10 minutes."

Yeah he was a sly one.

Oooh, I'd probably sneak Frosted Circus Animal Cookies in the dark pantry, too... Yum!

I'm wondering if you kids were ever sneaky when you were little? Perhaps you just got away with it.

We could never have enjoyed this story as much without a picture. Isn't Gwen cute?
