More Crafts

I've been having so much fun with my sewing machine! Recently, I made a few ribbon blankets for baby gifts.

My mom helped me made one for Gwen when she was born. When I say my mom "helped" me, that means that she made it while I watched. Gwen has absolutely loved it! It is her car blanket and she constantly rubs the smooth satin between her fingers.

My skills still aren't very good, but I'm proud to say that I made these 100% by myself (although Rick assisted me with the tedious job of cutting the ribbon. He's a stud.) They look good from far away in the photos, but if you look up close, it is obvious that I've still got some practicing to do. Sewing in a straight line is harder than it looks!

I made two of these for some sweet baby boys...

I made this one for my sister's baby, Carmen.

I'm looking forward to more baby showers in the future so I can continue practicing. If you are pregnant- this is what you are getting!

I love the pink blanket you made. My friend makes really small taggie blankets so that babies can play with the ribbons. I like it that yours can be used as a blanket too. Way cute, I'm impressed!
