Wurst Festival

After our slumber party with Cheryl, we all headed out to the (brat)Wurst Festival in Wallingford. Rick and I went several years ago and have been wanting to go back. It was 20 more fun this time because Gwen and Cheryl were there!

To answer your questions... yes, Dave Matthews lives in Wallingford. And no, I'm not stalking him anymore. And no, I didn't see him the two times we walked past his house.

At the festival, they had all sorts of cute carnival games. Gwen loved them! With each game, you would earn points to use for buying prizes.

Fishing game

Yahtzee- sort of
This shouldn't need an explanation, but it was Let's Make a Deal

This kinda reminded me of Shuffle Board
This was like Plinko on the Price is Right. We all played this one!
Ring toss

Penny Pitch
Our favorite game of the day was one where they would give you a big wooden top. Everybody would let their tops go at the same time. The last one standing was the winner. This reminded us of the game Spinjas- a childhood favorite for Rick. Cheryl was awesome at this game. She won every time we played it. Gwen had a cute old man helping her with hers. Well, he was either a cute old man or an undercover pervert. Sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.

And of course, we dined on Bratwursts. I was the only one German enough to eat the sauerkraut- yum!

Gwen burned off some of her hotdog at the playground

Before we left, Gwen cashed in her points. She got an elephant pencil case and filled it with a bunch of random junk.
Seattle has many opportunities for people watching. Cheryl took a photo this guy every chance she got.
Gwen headed home with her loot

What a fun day. Speaking of brats, did you know Costco does these chicken sausage dogs? They have yumo flavors such as roasted garlic and gueyere (not sure on spelling), mango and jalenpeno, and a couple others I cant remember. They are really yummy!
