Feeling Hot! Hot! Hot!

Summer was off to a slow start. We had a lot of cloudy weather and rain in June. But, by the end of the month, the sunshine started to make a regular appearance.

We had some very steamy days where it got into the 90's. It was so hot that for 2 nights we all had to sleep downstairs.

We've been taking advantage of the great weather by spending time in the backyard. Gwen loves to cool off in her pool or in the sprinkler. Gwen also loves playing in her little playhouse.

One morning, her friend Olivia came over and they spent most of the time outside.

These two ate a combined total of 7 freezer pops

Gwen also had her cousins over this month for some fun in the water. Jared, Eric, and Andrew all came and they ran through the sprinkler, splashed in the pool, and played in the slip n' slide. As it turns out, a slip n' slide requires a fair amount of coordination that the youngest three didn't have. Jared did great on it, and the rest were just hilarious.
