Birch Bay Part Four: Trains, Go Carts and Mini Golf

While at Birch Bay, we went to a fun place that had go-carts, mini golf, and a little kiddie train. One afternoon, we ventured out to ride the train. It was a hit with the kids!
The best part of the train was the scenic view from the window. They had random figurines all over the place. It was fun to see who could find the most bizarre stuff. The photos didn't turn out for some reason, but you get the idea...

My favorite was a gnome face down in a ditch. Apparently he's just given up on life. Somehow I missed the opportunity to take a photo of a life-size Abraham Lincoln doll sitting in a broken down car. There's always next year. Here's the gnome...
After the ride, we took some photos with Thomas, who was so kind to pull us along. Gwen was in heaven!

Nathan and Tanner were not so sure about Thomas. Gwen caressed Thomas's face while Tanner cried.
A few days after our train ride, we decided to go back to the same place since we didn't get a chance to ride on the go-carts. I rode by myself and Gwen rode with her daddy.

I took this photo while driving. Not bad, eh? Rick had to hold Gwen in place the whole time because she kept sliding forward

I noticed that Rick's fun cousins were taking picture of us as we were racing around in our go-carts. I decided to turn the tables and I took photos of them while I drove past. Again, I think my multitasking skills are quite advanced.
Conor flashed me in this photo. Let's see how many times his belly can show up in my blog. This is #2 for those that are counting.
After the go-carts, Gwen really wanted to go on the Thomas train again. Yes, it is that good. I decided to take Gwen and Max on the train while Rick played mini-golf with Greg, Kari, Cheryl and Conor. Here are a few with Gwen and Max on the train. They are both pretty serious about their train obsession.

After the train ride, Gwen said her goodbyes to ThomasI love how she is lovingly patting him in this photo

I was finally able to pull Gwen and Max away from the train. We found the rest of the gang still playing mini-golf. Rick was nice enough to play with Max and Gwen while I played the last 9 holes of golf. Gwen and Max also joined in a little bit on the golfing fun.

Max let Gwen wear his sunglasses. She didn't seem bothered that her hair was a bit in the way.
