Birch Bay Part Three: Splashing in the Pool

One of the highlights of Birch Bay for Gwen was swimming in the indoor pool. Gwen loved either riding in her little inflatable ring (she called it her boat) or using her arm floaties. When she was in her "boat" we would hang on to the back and push her around the pool. She would kick like crazy and thought that she was giving us a ride. Too cute.

Gwen also got real comfortable with her arm floaties and could swim around with them on without our assistance. Of course, Rick and I are both a little more nervous than we needed to be and were never more than foot away from her.

Swimming in the pool isn't always my favorite activity. Sometimes I don't feel like dealing with the hassle of getting changed into my suit, swimming, showering myself and Gwen after to get the chlorine out, etc. I know, I'm lazy. Rick is a good daddy and took Gwen swimming almost everyday. I came most of the time, but didn't always get in. Gwen loved it so much, that I'm enrolling her in swim lessons this fall.

Gwen begging to be carried as we walked to the pool. She always wants to be carried everywhere!
