It was a gorgeous day and Rick was able to come home from work a little early to enjoy it. We first went to the new splash pad at Willis Tucker Park. Gwen loved it! I thought it was sweet that Rick wanted to do something Gwen would love, even though it is his birthday. What a great dad!

Gwen and I made cupcakes for Rick. Gwen did the sprinkles all by herself! Can you tell which ones she frosted?

Bob came over to drop off a gift. He also brushed Gwen's hair for her!
When I took Gwen shopping to get some gifts for Rick, she picked out a coloring book for them to "share". She couldn't wait to use it, so by the time he unwrapped it, it already had most of the pages colored.
Gwen also mananged to open one of Rick's gifts while we weren't paying attention. A few minutes later inoticed the empty gift bag and the gift sitting on the ground.
What a fun day! Happy Birthday, Rick!

THat looks like a great b-day. Happy late b-day Rick!
Happy birthday! That water park looks fun.
I'm listening to this Edie Brickell song and loving it, Anna Marie. What album would you recommend by her? I haven't heard her since she had that one hit I think of as the Popeye song. "I am what I am."
Happy Belated Birthday!
That park looks really fun. Where is it?
Those splash parks are such a great idea. We have one close by us too. You can take the kids and not have to worry about them drowning when you take your eyes off them.
Susan- I don't have any of Edie Brickell's albums, just this one song. Now that you bring it up, maybe I should check it out. I love her voice.
