I gave him a gift that I've been working on here and there for several years. It's a scrapbook/journal that I made online for the entire year of 2005. It was over 60 pages long, so it was a big project. My plan is to make one for every year up until the time I started blogging, so I have two more years to go. Then, I'm going to start having my blog posts made into a book once a year. Someday I might do some type of scrapbook for the years before 2005 (before Gwen was born), but those were the days before digital cameras (which equals more work) and I'm not sure if I'm that ambitious.
Anyway, I'm off topic now. Back to Rick's gift...he loved it!
Rick and his girls right before church
After church we had a nice evening at home with just the four of us. Usually, we are rushing off to see family on holidays but this time we changed it up. The night before, we had both sets of parents (and my uncle Peter) over for a really nice Father's Day eve dinner. That left us free to be on our own on Father's Day without feeling guilty.
For dinner, I made Rick's favorite... Steak Sandwiches. Yum.
This year, I'm especially thankful for a wonderful husband that is an outstanding father to his two beautiful girls and a wonderful support to me. He really is the best dad ever. All day I couldn't help but feel sorry for everybody else who has 2nd place dads. How did we get so lucky to get the best one? I guess 2nd place isn't so bad either.
We love you, Rick!

Welcome back! I too had great plans to make scrapbooks starting with the day each of the kids took their first steps. I did well for Ainsley. Aftyn has about 3 pages done and Gavin? Well... I haven't even finished his baby book yet! Good luck (you're going to need it)!
The pic of Gwen looking at her daddy is priceless. Such love in her eyes.
