Let me give you a closer look...

Gwen actually had these on for at least an hour without us realizing it. Then out of the blue she pulled up her shirt and said, "Look at my nipple shields!" I think she actually intended them to be used as breast pads, but I didn't correct her because she's never been wrong.
Lactation is a family affair when there is a preschooler in the house. There is no hiding anything from Gwen. She knows all about breast pads, nipple shields, etc. So after the initial shock of her new accessory, I really wasn't all that surprised.
Gwen kept these on all afternoon and even sported them on a trip to the mall. I caught her admiring them and finally snapped a few pictures while giggling at how funny she is. Gwen scolded me sternly and said, "Don't laugh!". Apparently nipple shields are serious business.
A week later we spied on her through the video baby monitor applying band-aids to her nipples when she should have been sleeping. I'm not sure which occasion made me laugh harder. What a funny girl!

i would like to take this opportunity to comment on the unfairness of the fact that i introduced you to the beloved trader joe's, and now i don't even get to go there anymore. boo!
Too funny! She is going to love it when you bust these pictures out when she is older! Awesome!
What a crack up. Gwen is 3.9 going on 10!
I love how involved she is in everything, what a silly darling girl!
Apparently someone told her lilypads are the best?
Priceless!
That is so funny. Jake use to take his spacer (used for asthma) and pretend it was a breast pump. You can believe I still have those pictures.
That's hilarious!
That is just too funny.
