Gwen can also be found putting on her "lava shoes" to protect her from the hot lava that seems to flow frequently throughout the house. She often warns us to put on our lava shoes as well.
What I love the most is that imaginative play requires no special toys. Gwen will go around the house getting all sorts of random things to work into her little scenarios. Many of the props she uses look nothing like what she intends them for, which makes it entertaining to watch. In the below photo, her doll is dressed up as a firefighter.
Gwen also has been very content to play on her own quite a bit- using her imagination, of course. Although it makes my life easier, it makes me feel guilty. She's such a good girl and she deserves more attention than I'm able to give her sometimes. I must admit that I miss the special one-on-one time we used to have. I can get used to the sleepless nights, poopy diapers, and constant feedings, but dividing my attention is a little heartbreaking at times. I'm so fortunate that Gwen has been so understanding, helpful, and patient. Fiona has a wonderful role model to look up to and I'm grateful that Gwen will help me to teach Fiona to be just as sweet as Gwen is.
