We met Bob, Cathy, and Kirk (Rick's parents and brother) at the restaurant so that they could help us celebrate.
As you can see, Shamu had to join us for dinner.
Gwen is crazy about her Uncle Kirk
Everyone is showing the number 3 in honor of Gwen's age
Peeking under the table
Enjoying her free birthday sundae (and the second one of the day)
Grandma , Grandpa, and Kirk brought Gwen some nice gifts. She got Lady (a train from the Thomas collection), a stickerbook, some cute little cars, and a Thomas Yearbook that has pages and pages of Thomas toys that I'm sure Gwen will beg me to buy.
When we got home from dinner, we enjoyed the rest of the evening with just the three of us. We had cupcakes and Gwen opened her presents from us. We got her several things, but she was so spoiled by her grandparents that we decided to only give her three of the gifts we got her. We got her two sets of train tracks and a book. The rest can wait for Christmas!
Eventually, we had to drag Gwen away from her new toys and put her to bed. We had a great day and I hope she did too. I can't believe my baby is three!

When I first pressed play, my speakers weren't on. So, when I turned those on, I thought, "Wow, Anna Marie busted out the acoustic guitar for the Happy Birthday song? And dang...she's really good too!" Turns out it was Modest Mouse.
"Go away smoke!"...so cute!!!
She is sooooooo cute. And Kirk looks absolutely thrilled to be in that picture with her. :)
