First Sunday

When Miles was 10 days old, he made his debut at church. Typically people wait a little longer, but I couldn't wait to show him off! How could I not? I went home right after sacrament meeting, and then I didn't go for a few more weeks.

Valentine's Day 2011

Valentine's Day was another success! Of course, who doesn't enjoy a day filled with sweets, love, and kisses?

The day started with heart-shaped doughnuts.

Next, the girls were bestowed with gifts of greeting cards and pillow pets.

Lunchtime included heart-shaped grilled cheese sandwiches with red sprinkles and strawberry milk.

Rick and I had a hot date that night, thanks to our awesome friends the Johnsons. But, for some reason, I didn't feel compelled to photographically document the 45 minutes we spent driving aimlessly looking for a restaurant to eat at. Nor did I think it was necessary to take any snapshots of us visiting our local home depot. Of course, I really should have taken photos of our last stop at the grocery store.

Rick has promised me a Valentine's Day redo. I'm still waiting for him to pay up. Good thing I love him.

Keeping Busy in the Winter

Winter time means lots of having fun at home and being lazy. At least that's how it is in our house.

In January, we spent out time:

Having phone conversations on a remote control...

Making lunch...

Eating previously mentioned lunch...

Hugging, smiling and looking cute...

Staying up way past bedtime while Mom is gone...

Making up silly games that involve tying things together and dragging them through the house...

And lastly, waking up early before church, getting dressed, and making breakfast for everybody...

Didn't Quite Fit in Our Carry-On Bag

When we got home from Seattle, the girls had one more Christmas present to open. Boy were they excited!

Fiona was in bed by the time Rick and I finally got the table put together, but she played with it quite a bit the next day. It was a great purchase!

Doing Downtown

We enjoyed our annual trip to downtown Seattle to take in the Christmas sights. We started off with the Christmas village & miniature trains at the Seattle Centerhouse.

Next we rode the monorail down to the Sheraton to see the gingerbread house display.

Next we dined on delicious Japanese food at Benihana. Even the girls loved it!

Of course, some of the kids got restless. More than one of us spent time wandering around with wiggly ones...

The favorite part of lunch was ice cream.

Fiona really, really wanted some. Can you tell?

Gwen was sweet and happily shared with her.

It wouldn't be Christmas without a visit to the Four Seasons Olympic Hotel for some festive photos.

Our last stop was at the carousel for a quick ride.

Tired, but happy, we took the monorail back to where our cars were parked.
