Fiona at One Year

I love taking my girls to the doctor for their check-ups. I love finding out how big they are. I love hearing how well they are developing. I love it when my doctor says my girls look just perfect. I love it when my doctor says I'm doing a good job. It may not always be true, but it's good to hear anyway.

Fiona's 1 year check-up was fun as always. Here are her stats:

Height: 26.5" - 1st percentile
Weight: 15 lbs 14 oz
Head: 44.5 cm- 32nd percentile

I pointed out to my doctor that they left out the percentile for her weight. The doctor explained that she her weight was below the scale, so it would be somewhere down in the negatives. For a reference point, I asked her what the average was for one year. The 50th percentile for girls is 21 pounds. The 5th percentile is 17.75 pounds. So, Fiona is still tiny.

The doctor is only mildly concerned. She did send us home with some Pediasure, but I haven't given it too her. There's too much sugar in it. :)

Here are some fun facts about Fiona at one year:

# of Naps a Day: 1
Bedtime: 7 ish
Wakeup Time: Between 5:00 and 6:30 am
Favorite Foods: Mac & cheese, Townhouse crackers, toast, & bananas
Favorite Activities: Playing with Gwen, playing with balls, socks and books, dancing, getting into everything, and climbing onto everything.
Clothing Size: Pants- 3-6 months, Tops & Dresses- 6-12 mo, Shoes: 2

Fiona's personality has really blossomed. She is so cute and loves being the center of attention. When people are watching her she smiles, giggles, and dances around. Fiona always has a slight grin on her face and seems generally pleased with herself. She always has a twinkle in her eye that reminds me of my late Grandpa Jensen. We are so lucky to have her in our family!
