Father's Day 2010

This Father's Day was significant for us because it also happened to be the day before Rick's first trip to Colorado- and the beginning of our time apart. All day I kept looking at Rick and wondering wondering how I would survive without him.

We started the morning off with presents and breakfast. Rick wanted to keep the breakfast simple, so we surprised him with one of his favorite cereals, Basic Four. Poor Rick never gets it because I hardly ever buy it. It's expensive, what can I say?

Gwen was excited for Rick to open his presents, so we did that before eating.

Gwen made Rick a necklace that said, "Dad"and "Gwen". He was such a good sport and wore it to church...

Rick was also the lucky recipient of a new drill. His other one was shooting sparks. Very cool, but not altogether safe...

Rick's big surprise gift was a stepping stone I made with the girls. It had their hand prints, the year, and their names. I can't wait to put it in our new backyard!

Fiona missed out on the present opening (I think she was sleeping) but she got extra cuddles from Daddy later!
