Double Digits!

Fiona turned 10 months old a few weeks ago. There aren't any stats to report since there isn't a well-child visit for the 10 month mark, but that won't stop me from blogging about her anyway. Here are just a few tidbits about my favorite 10-monther.

First, the good news. She is still and pro at sticking out her tongue and has seemed to kick it up a notch. She really goes for the gusto when she sticks it out.

(It's a shame that this one is blurry)

Now the bad news. The novelty seems to be wearing off. I haven't seen the tongue in a few days. Hopefully it will make a comeback.
10 months seems to be the magic age for Fiona. Within a few days of her big day she cut her 2nd tooth, started crawling, and starting sleeping through the night. Most nights she sleeps from 7(ish) pm until 5 or 6 am. It's a little early, but I'm not going to complain (much).
Fiona is still a catnapper. On a rare good day, she sleeps about an hour and 15 minutes for both her morning and afternoon naps. On a bad day she sleeps for 30 minutes. Sometimes she never sleeps at all.
While she is "trying" to fall asleep, I watch her on her video monitor. She is way too busy rolling, crawling, and scooting around to be bothered with sleeping. If it weren't so irritating, it would be cute.
As of press time, Fiona is unattached, but she has plenty of potential male suitors. I still hold fast to the idea that she's not dating until she's 30, so they have a while to wait.
Take Parker, for example. Isn't he a doll? They are only a few weeks apart, but he towers over her. She likes a big, strong male to make her feel protected. She takes after her mom in that sense.
(Trying to take a photo of them standing side-by-side is difficult when there is one person to hold them up and one to take the picture)
On Fiona's actual 10 month birthday, we had dinner at Grandma and Grandpa Bean's house. She didn't want to hold still for a photo, but I got a couple before she tried to crawl away.

Love her!
