Dave Matthews Concert

Rick and I decided to treat ourselves to an early Christmas present when he had the opportunity to buy Dave Matthews tickets in the 2nd row. How do you say no to that?

The problem was that it was a school night, a youth night, and we really didn't have a lot of options for babysitters. But, my friend Camille (who was pregnant with twins at the time) offered to watch the girls for us. We didn't know Camille and her husband Eric very well, but now we consider them dear friends and are still trying to repay the debt!

Since we were going to be back so late, the plan was for the girls to go to sleep there and we would come and pick them up later.

Gwen was so excited for her "slumber party" The night before she packed up everything she thought she would need.

We got to the concert a few minutes early. I was giddy with anticipation!

It was well worth the wait. Dave and Tim put on an amazing show (as always). I couldn't get over how close we were. Dave and I made eye contact for a good 20 seconds. He's so in love with me.

And after the show...I may be smiling on the outside, but on the inside I was crying because it was over and I will probably never get 2nd row seats again.
